Cindy is a disruptor when it comes to evaluation in the social sector and applies more than 20 years of international experience in guiding nonprofit organizations to build their capacity for using data. She graduated from the University of Denver with a Master’s Degree in Sociology in applied research, and her career experience has included leadership and advisory roles with organizations such as the Nurse-Family Partnership, Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, Mile High United Way, and the Center for Health Policy Research.

MARISA ALLEN

Senior Advisor, Impact Services

Marisa is a senior-level evaluator who has more than 20 years of experience leading small and large-scale evaluation and learning projects across the United States. She has served in leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente, the Colorado Health Foundation, and several research and evaluation firms. Marisa’s formal education includes a master’s degree from the University of Chicago and a doctorate from Case Western Reserve University where she conducted research about evaluation use. She has led mixed method studies for state governments, foundations, and other organizations with an emphasis on actionable results. She is trained in Emergent Learning practices which allows her to facilitate projects which need rapid feedback and context-specific learnings. Marisa’s Social Work background and excellent interpersonal skills allow her to easily build rapport and partner with diverse community-based groups, policymakers, Boards of Directors, and others to meaningfully co-create evaluation plans, design learning agendas, and implement high-quality evaluation that meets the varied needs and wishes of stakeholders.

LAUREN AYLWARD

Lauren strives to take a human-centered approach to all the work she does and to find ways to make data and evaluation more accessible and approachable for all. Lauren has a background in both international and local development work, having served in Peace Corps in Cambodia and having worked in community resource development at Mile High United Way, in Denver. She has extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and all kinds of walks of life and is passionate about helping nonprofits more deeply infuse community voices into their work.

KYMBERLY BYRD

Kymberly has over 10 years of research, evaluation, and community engagement experience. She has been involved with the design, implementation, and evaluation of projects on incarceration, homelessness, substance use disorder, mental health, HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, faith-based community organizing, food justice, and other topics. Kymberly obtained bachelors’ degrees in Social Work and Spanish from Oakwood University, masters’ degrees in Social Work and Public Health from Boston University, and an MS and PhD in Community Research and Action from Vanderbilt University.

Laurelin has spent over 7 years applying her skills in performance measurement and data communication to programs and research projects in the non-profit, higher education, and government sectors. Prior to her role at ResultsLab, Laurelin provided quantitative and qualitative evaluation services as a policy analyst for the research arm of the Florida legislature. She also has a background in international development and engagement, serving in Peace Corps Albania for two years, and was awarded a Boren Scholarship for a year of study in China. Laurelin holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning and Environmental Studies from Iowa State University.

Agnès commitment to supporting nonprofit evaluation capacity growth is grounded in community. Agnès has worked to challenge the cycle of ideological bias in community development projects by using the power of data to acknowledge and honor the complexities of lived experiences within oppressed communities. She partners with nonprofits, bringing technical and strategic skills to design and develop appropriate frameworks and systems for the implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation of programs. Agnès graduated from St. Catherine University with degrees in Economics and Critical Studies of Race and Ethnicity.

Rahul is a passionate advocate for social impact through data-driven decision making. Prior to joining ResultsLab, Rahul worked on creating impact measurement frameworks for leading CDFIs (Community Development Financial Institutions) and helped create evaluation plans for programs aimed at building nonprofit capacity and increasing their access to financial resources. Rahul also has experience working in a grassroots nonprofit in Mumbai, India, where he helped evaluate governmental programs through data analysis and dissemination. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s in Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology in India.

Maggie brings over 7 years of experience in mixed-method research and program evaluation within public health, social services, and the criminal justice system. Prior to her role at ResultsLab, she held multiple research and evaluation roles at Unite Us, a software developed to improve social care coordination and advance health equity. In her previous work with the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University, her research focused on addressing the sexual assault kit backlog, improving survivor advocacy and human trafficking services, and increasing healthcare access for gender diverse individuals. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Cleveland State University and is actively Certified in Public Health (CPH) by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.

Through experience in evaluation, anthropology, and public health, she works to build a more equitable society where all people live fulfilling, healthy, and productive lives. Caitlin uses both qualitative and quantitative research designs as well as community-based insights to enable data-driven decision making. Caitlin earned her Master of Public Service degree from the University of Arkansas focused on strategics planning and mixed-methods research design. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Anthropology from Texas Christian University.

Kristen specializes in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and systems in education, community-based, and government settings.  With over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, facilitation, teaching, learning design, and research she has led initiatives to elevate youth and community voice, promote health and wellbeing, improve access to quality education, create innovative professional learning, and develop strategies for inclusive and equitable engagement.

Kristen earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology/Learning Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder and has provided leadership in a variety of roles at San Francisco State University, Denver Public Schools, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, The Institute for Intercultural Community Leadership at Santa Fe Community College, and the National Outdoor Leadership School.

Decisions made without data don’t stand a chance in Kenzie path. She operates from the belief that measurement should be practical, engaging, and meaningful. Kenzie’s 15-years in program evaluation includes work with organizations such as Mile High United Way, Right To Play International, Save the Children USA, ActionAid International, and the Ministry of Education in the Marshall Islands. She has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Duke University and Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Valencia has over 13 years of experience in strategic design, monitoring and evaluation, and impact investing programs targeting underserved and vulnerable populations in both the United States and Latin America. She is passionate about peacebuilding, governance, and human rights and her expertise in conflict resolution and data analysis has led her to spearheading and supporting various development projects with the US Government, the Colombian National Reintegration Agency, the World Bank, US and Colombian nonprofits and commercial banking clients. In these roles she has used her mediation and dialogue skills with her clients along with building innovative instruments such as social bonds and impact investing in dynamic developing markets. Valencia earned her Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service where she focused on political economy and development, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies at Virginia Tech.

NATALIA YAVICH

Natalia specializes in evaluation of social and health programs, and works with non-profits and governmental organizations to bring strategic and organizational changes to boost equitable access to quality services. She brings over 20 years of experience in evaluation, research, management and monitoring of programs targeting underserved populations and minorities in the US and Latin America. Natalia led evaluative research projects funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), McGill Institute for Health and Social Policy, UN, Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Panamerican Health Organizations and others. She’s knowledgeable in quantitative and qualitative research methods and design of data collection tools.  Natalia is trained in anthropology, holds a Master’s degree in public health and a Ph. D. in evaluation of systems based on Primary Health Care approaches.
